Navin Patel
Navin brings over 52 years of experience in the accounting, business and strategy advisory including succession planning and business transformation. He was a Partner at DFK Oswin Griffiths Carton from 1988 until his retirement in March 2021, having held senior leadership roles including Managing Partner and Chairman.
He began his career in 1973 with a Big Four accounting firm, building a strong foundation in audit and advisory services. Navin is a long-standing member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (since 1977) and a Fellow of the New Zealand Trustees Association.
Since 2006, Navin has been closely associated with the Vision Group of Companies, currently serving as Chairman of Vision Group Limited and Vision Investments Limited. His expertise spans audit, business advisory, corporate finance, and governance, with a particular focus on strategy, acquisitions, succession planning, and ownership transitions for small and medium-sized enterprises.
Navin has advised clients across New Zealand, Fiji, and Australia and has experience in a wide range of industries, including healthcare, tourism, finance, wholesale and retail, property, high-net-worth individuals, and public listings.
In addition to his professional career, Navin has made significant contributions to community and charitable organisations and has held senior international governance roles within DFK International including Director and Vice President Asia Pacific Region for 6 years and Director of DFK Australia New Zealand for 9 years.
