David Alvin Evans

Non-Executive and Independent Director

David has over 35 years executive banking and board experience in Australia and the Asia/Pacific region before becoming a management consultant.  His career included roles as the Chief Manager (CEO) Westpac Fiji Islands, Chief Credit Manager, Western Australia, Westpac and a Director KPMG in the Financial Risk Advisory practice for 2 years in Perth after returning to Australia from Fiji.

David has also been active in the not-for-profit sector for a number of years including as President and Board director for the National Heart Foundation, President Fiji-Australia Business Council, Director of Transparency International Fiji, Executive Member of the Australian Institute of International Affairs and Trustee of the Murdoch University Veterinary Trust.  He has held directorships as an Independent Director of several Indigenous organisations in the Pilbara Region Western Australia, a Non-Executive Director of Aboriginal Hostels Ltd and an External Member of the Queensland Police Service Audit & Risk Committee.  Currently, David is a Non-Executive Director of Vision Investments Limited, one of the largest listed companies on the South Pacific Stock Exchange, a Non-Executive Director of Outback Stores Pty Ltd, Darwin, a Non-Executive Director Credit Corporation (Vanuatu) Ltd and a Non-Executive Director Credit Corporation (Solomon Islands) Ltd.

As a management consultant, David has been an accredited facilitator with the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) for over seventeen years delivering strategy, risk, finance and governance training programs to board directors and company executives.  With AICD, he facilitates governance programs in Australia well as the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions.  David established his consultancy business in 2013 utilising his knowledge and skills to a select group of clients advising on strategic management, risk management and board governance systems.  In 2024, David developed and launched the Pacific Board Governance Program, based in Suva, Fiji to deliver governance workshop training throughout the Pacific region.
